Purpose-Built Cabinet for Film & Television Shooting

The EXR series is a virtual production LED wall platform engineered down to the cabinet: high flatness for close-up shots, a high-strength PC mask that protects the LED chip, and a copper signal path that keeps transmission stable through take after take.

Layer-by-layer build quality

The mask is made of high-strength PC material with good light transmittance and impact resistance, effectively protecting the LED chip from interference by the external environment. The PCB signal lines use high-quality copper with excellent conductivity and oxidation resistance, ensuring stable and reliable signal transmission. Underneath it all, the die-casting aluminum cabinet delivers higher accuracy and flatness — the foundation of a seamless LED wall on camera.

Cabinet design, cooling & maintenance

Each 500×500 mm cabinet is a self-contained unit: excellent cabinet design with reinforced corner locks for seamless stacking, a good cooling design that handles long shooting days without brightness drift, and easy front maintenance so a module can be replaced in minutes without dismantling the wall.

Five Pitches. One Cabinet Platform.

All EXR cabinets share the same 500×500 mm die-cast aluminum chassis — mix pitches freely within one wall or choose the pitch that matches your camera distance.

500×500 mm cabinet, engineered for speed

Four cabinets build one square meter; a two-person crew can assemble a full LED wall in hours thanks to quick-lock corners and alignment pins. With a 1,000 kg max load-bearing rating, the same cabinet works as a wall, a curved surface, or a floor tile screen that actors and equipment can walk on.

Details & Features

EXR LED cabinet exploded view with three feature callouts — better protection, professional surface treatment, front maintenance

Better protection

Multi-layer surface protection and high flatness keep the panel face uniform — no visible seams or color patches on camera.

Professional surface treatment

Color consistency, UV resistance, salt corrosion resistance, anti-static treatment and easy cleaning for years of service.

Front maintenance

Modules support direct removal from the front — a failed module is swapped in minutes, even when the wall sits flush against a studio wall.

Applications: Floor, Curved & U-Shaped Builds

EXR LED cabinets assembled into a curved LED screen

One cabinet, many geometries

The LED film display screen has high display quality, reliability and adaptability, and can be combined with multiple screens. The same cabinets assemble into an XR stage LED wall, a floor tile screen, a curved screen or even a U-shaped volume, so they are widely used in studios, broadcast sets and exhibition halls — as well as commercial plazas that attract attention through high-brightness, high-definition images to promote product sales and brand promotion.

System Connection & Control

EXR LED screen system connection diagram — camera, processor and LED wall signal chain

The XR LED screen connects to a computer or other device using HDMI, DP (DisplayPort) or DVI, or through a video output port such as a network connection. Some XR LED screens require a dedicated LED control system to transmit and manage data.

Specific connection and data-transfer methods vary depending on the brand and model. Before connecting and transferring data, follow the screen’s user manual — or let our engineers configure the signal chain for you, from processor to genlock sync. For camera tracking, ceiling walls and LED floors, see the complete LED screen for XR solution.

Choosing the Right EXR Cabinet Pitch for Your Camera

Pixel pitch sets how close the camera can get before the pixel grid becomes visible (moiré). Match the model to your tightest shooting distance.

P1.52

Close-ups, 2–3 m

Product films, interviews and tight dialogue coverage where the camera pushes in close to the wall.

P1.83 / P1.95

Mid shots, 3–4 m

The balance point for most virtual production stages — fine detail with more brightness headroom.

P2.5 / P2.6

Wide shots, 4 m+

Large volumes and broadcast studios; brightness scales 600–1,200 cd/m² for sets with practical lighting.

Rule of thumb: minimum camera-to-wall distance ≈ pixel pitch (mm) × 1,000. Black-face SMD LEDs, anti-glare surface treatment and correct focus placement keep moiré off your footage.

EXR Cabinet FAQ

Which pixel pitch should I choose for an EXR virtual production LED cabinet?

Match pitch to camera distance: P1.52 for 2–3 m close-up work, P1.83 or P1.95 for 3–4 m mid shots, and P2.5 or P2.6 for 4 m and beyond where extra brightness (up to 1,200 cd/m²) helps on lit sets.

Can EXR cabinets build curved, U-shaped or floor screens?

Yes. The same 500×500 mm die-cast aluminum cabinet mounts as a flat wall, curves into arcs and U-shaped volumes, and works as a floor tile screen rated to 1,000 kg max load-bearing.

Is the EXR cabinet ready for genlock and camera sync?

The panels run a 7,680 Hz refresh with 12–16 bit gray level and pair with mainstream LED processors that support genlock, keeping the wall phase-locked to the camera sensor to eliminate scan lines and banding.

How are the cabinets maintained and shipped?

Front maintenance — modules remove directly from the front without dismantling the wall. Cabinets ship factory-direct from Shenzhen, China in flight cases with worldwide freight and lifetime engineering support.
